The company deploys significant resources annually for efforts in research and development to continually refine its products, equipment and processes to ensure that the highest quality of products are taken to the market within quicker cycles and as per the unique requirements of our customers.
The Group has its own established R&D labs and testing centers that collaborate and contribute to the efforts of the Tea Research Institute of the United Planters Association of South India (UPASI).
Our continuous R&D processes include:
- Selection through vegetatitive clone propagation to ensure selective quality of genetic stocks
- Selection and propagation of clone varieties through tissue culture
- Regular soil tests for each section of our plantations to match requirements for fertilizer and fungicidal inputs
- Continual improvements in engineering design for upgrading and improvement of manufacturing equipment and other field instruments.
